I was dead set against envelope budgeting for years until I actually tried it last month
Watching my dining out category hit zero by the 15th convinced me it wasn't about restriction but just paying attention, has anyone else found one system that finally clicked after hating it for ages?

Funny enough the same thing happened to me with the cash stuffing method. I thought it was for people who couldn't handle a debit card but it turns out physically seeing the money leave the envelope makes you think twice before grabbing a coffee. It's almost like the system forces you to feel the transaction instead of just swiping and moving on.

My buddy swore off cash envelopes for years and then actually tried them last month, now he's broke by the 10th.
