My grocery budget win came from a bruised banana disaster

Last Tuesday I grabbed a bag of 15 overripe bananas for 50 cents at the local Piggly Wiggly and turned them into 8 loaves of banana bread in one afternoon. Has anyone else found a weird produce deal that saved your wallet for the week?

Freeze those bad boys whole and toss them straight into batter for extra moist banana bread.

@torres.sage is out here running a secret banana preservation society and nobody invited the rest of us. Guess my bruised bananas will just have to start a support group in the freezer aisle.
