Relate so hard, my packed lunch attempts somehow end up costing more with all the fancy ingredients I convince myself I need.

Truth is those fancy ingredients sabotage the whole savings plan. @susana66 has the right idea with basics, but it's so hard to stick to it. We all just want to eat the nice cheese, not the boring stuff.

But doesn't it save money over time if you buy the basics? Getting bread, cheese, and veggies in bulk is cheaper than buying a sandwich out every day. The fancy stuff is just a bonus you can skip.
