Showerthought: I hit $500 in my 'forgot about it' account and it felt better than a big bonus.
I mean, I set up a tiny auto-transfer to a separate savings account two years ago for random stuff and completely ignored it, so seeing that number pop up yesterday was a genuine shock that made me rethink how I measure financial progress. Anyone else have a small, automatic system that ended up being a huge win?

My version of that is just finding cash in old coats, but @verar21's app idea sounds smarter.

Totally get that! I have a round-up app that saves my spare change and it's wild how much it adds up without me noticing. Finding that money feels like a surprise gift from past me.
