The $80 cable organizer I avoided buying for 18 months

I kept using zip ties and a shoebox for my budget spreadsheets and receipts, thinking it was fine, until I finally spent the $80 on a proper filing system and it saved me 3 hours of tax prep last Sunday. Has anyone else paid more to fix their system after cheaping out first, or am I just stubborn?

Think we all do this dance with stuff like tools, subscriptions, even groceries, we nickel and dime ourselves until we finally pay up and wonder why we waited so long. It's like we're hardwired to suffer through the cheap fix before the real one.
