Appreciation post: My weekly spread setup took 2 hours when I thought it was a 20 minute job
I decided to make a new weekly layout with a small habit tracker and a meal plan section. I spent forever just trying to line up the boxes straight with my ruler, and then my pen smudged. After that, I messed up the dates for the whole month of April and had to white it out. What I thought would be a quick Sunday night thing ended up taking my whole evening. Has anyone else had a simple setup turn into a huge time sink?

Oh man, do I ever feel this. I used to get so mad when a simple plan blew up like that, like it was a personal attack. But honestly, those messed-up pages where I had to white-out a whole month are now my favorite ones to look back on. They remind me I was actually trying to make something, not just buying a perfect pre-made thing. The struggle is part of the story now, you know?

Totally get what you're saying, @troythompson. My old planner has this one week where I spilled coffee and just drew a big stupid leaf over the stain. It's a mess, but it makes me laugh now. It's proof I was actually using the thing, not just keeping it pretty on a shelf. Those messed up spots have way more personality than the clean pages.
