Found a simple habit tracker that actually stuck after 3 failed attempts

I kept trying those monthly grids with all the colors and icons and they just felt like a chore to keep up with. Switched to a single line for each habit running down the page and just put a dot on days I did it - way less pressure and I've actually kept going for 6 weeks now. Anyone else find a simpler system works better than the fancy layouts?

Gotta admit I used to be one of those people who bought the fancy bullet journals and spent hours setting up color coded spreads. Thought that was the only way to make it work. But after three weeks of ignoring those pretty pages I finally tried just writing a single line for each habit with a checkmark. That minimal setup has lasted me two months now and I actually look forward to marking it instead of dreading it. Made me realize all that decoration was just a distraction from the actual tracking part. Simple really is better for sticking with it long term.

Yes! Same here. Minimal tracking is the only kind that actually sticks for me.
