Hit 300 days straight in my journal and it feels weird
I started my bullet journal last March just to track my meds and work shifts, nothing fancy. This morning I counted the daily logs and realized I'm at 300 days in a row, which is way more than I expected since I always quit things around week two. The funny part is the system got simpler over time, not more complex, I dropped the habit trackers and fancy collections around day 40 and now it's just a quick morning brain dump and a nightly checklist. It's the first time I've kept any habit going that long, and honestly the number itself matters more than what's inside the pages. Has anyone else hit a random milestone like this and felt weirdly proud for the dumbest reason?
The weirdest part about hitting a milestone like that is when the number becomes the point, not the pages. We all tell ourselves we're building habits for self improvement, but deep down it's just about proving we can stick to something. 300 days is basically a full year of your brain showing up for itself, which sounds cheesy but that's what it is. The fact that you simplified the system is probably why it worked, most people quit because they overcomplicate the whole thing and turn it into a second job. You basically tricked yourself into consistency by making it boring, and that's actually the smartest dumb reason to be proud.
