I finally stopped color-coding my weekly spread after 2 years

Used to spend 20 minutes every Sunday picking the right highlighter for each category. Work was blue, personal was green, bills were red. Looked great on the page. But I kept skipping days because filling in the colors felt like a chore. Switched to plain black pen and one gray highlighter for anything urgent about 6 months ago. Way less pretty, but I actually open the damn book now. Anyone else ditch the fancy stuff when they realized it was slowing them down?

Damn, I feel this so hard lol. I had a whole system with washi tape and three different pen colors for my meal planning, and honestly it took me longer to decorate the page than it did to actually plan the food. Then I realized I was spending Sundays making it look like a Pinterest board instead of, you know, getting anything done. Now I just scribble whatever needs to happen in whatever pen is closest, and my tracker looks like a crime scene sometimes. But at least I actually use it, which is more than I can say for all those pretty notebooks I bought and never opened.
