Migration log was ruining my weekly review for 2 years

I always crammed every task into the monthly migration without checking if I actually wanted to do it. Last Friday I read back 3 pages of the same unfinished chores and realized I was just copying noise, not curating my life. Now I split it into 'keep' and 'kill' piles before migration, anyone else do a purge step or am I overthinking this?
