My aunt said to stop decorating my weekly spreads, and 3 years later I finally get it
She watched me spend 90 minutes shading banners with 6 different pens and said nobody reads old weeks anyway. I ignored her for two years of fancy themes, then last spring I switched to plain boxes and I actually use the thing daily now. Anyone else have a relative who was right about your journal all along?
Plain boxes for the win. I went through the same thing, spent hours on washi tape and doodles and then stopped opening the thing because it felt like a chore. Now I just draw a quick line down the middle and write. Takes two seconds and I check it every morning. Your aunt knew what was up.
