My bullet journal fell in a puddle on my way to the library
Ngl, this was last Thursday and I'm still upset about it. I was walking to the downtown library to get some work done, and a car hit a huge puddle right by the curb. It splashed my whole bag, and my journal was in the front pocket. The cover and like the first twenty pages are all warped and the ink ran in a bunch of spots. I had just set up my March habit tracker and my weekly spread. I tried to dry it with paper towels but it just made the pages feel weird and crunchy. Now I have to decide if I just keep using this messed up book for the next three months or start a fresh one in the middle of the year. Has anyone else had a journal get wrecked and what did you do?

Ugh that's brutal, my condolences. @janar16's washi tape fix is smart, I just left my waterlogged journal to dry on a radiator and it turned into a weird accordion shape.

Oh man, the downtown library puddle is the worst, it's like a lake when it rains. I spilled an entire coffee on my planner last fall and the pages fused together. I ended up keeping it because all my old notes were in there, but I taped over the gross parts with washi tape. It looks messy but it feels better than starting over.

Have you ever considered just letting the damage become part of the planner's story? I tried the tape fix once and found it drew more attention to the mess. Now when something spills, I just let it dry and keep using the wrinkled pages. The stains and puckered paper end up marking that specific time in my life. It feels more honest than covering it up.
