My friend said to skip the fancy yearly setup and just start with a daily log

She told me this in January when I was stuck trying to draw a perfect future log. I ignored her and spent three hours on it. By March, I had not used that spread once. Now I just open to a blank page and write the date. Has anyone else ditched the big setup and found it works better?

Honestly that "blank page and write the date" method is the real key. All that fancy setup just gets in the way of actually writing things down. Tbh I only stick with what I'll actually use.

Ngl I used to be all about the fancy planners and special pens. But honestly, once I just started with a date at the top of a notebook, everything got way easier.
