My kid found my old bullet journal from 2015 in a box.
She asked why it was just a black notebook with a bunch of checkmarks and X's. I told her that was the whole point back then, before all the fancy spreads and trackers. Does anyone still keep a simple, no-frills journal like that?

Was she kind of amazed that something so simple actually worked? I feel like we keep adding layers to basic things (like journals, or even coffee) until the original point gets totally lost.
