My travel journal spread fell apart after 3 days in Tokyo, need a better system
I just got back from a two week trip to Tokyo and I was so excited to bullet journal the whole thing. I set up a daily spread with a tiny map sketch, a food log section, and a train route tracker. By day three the ink smudged all over from my hands always being sticky with taiyaki, and the washi tape I used for flags started peeling off every page edge. Honestly it looked like a raccoon got into my notebook, not a travel log. I think my mistake was trying to cram too much into each page instead of letting each day breathe. Do you all have a layout or material trick that survives actual travel chaos, like waterproof ink or a specific cover? I want to keep the fun memory part but make it last longer than the jet lag.
