My weekly spread finally stopped feeling like a mess
I kept overcomplicating it with too many colors and sections. Switched to just two pens and basic boxes. Now it actually helps me plan my days.

My friend had the same thing happen with her bullet journal last month. She was using six different highlighters and had a special symbol for every type of task. She showed it to me and it just looked like a rainbow puzzle. She finally got so stressed she tore the whole week out. Now she uses one black pen and a gray one for notes, and she says she actually gets things done instead of just decorating. It really is about what works for your brain, not what looks perfect.

It's funny how we all fall into the trap of making things harder than they need to be. I've done the same thing with my planner, adding every color until it looked like a kid's art project. Switching to just two pens is such a relief, like your brain can finally breathe. All those extra sections and colors just create noise instead of helping you plan. It's a wonder we don't all start with the simple version from the beginning. Glad you figured it out before your planner became a full-time hobby.

All those colors can actually make a planner more useful by putting like tasks together. Simplifying might just hide what you need to see.
