PSA: I called washi tape a waste of money for 2 years, now I have 40 rolls
I used to roll my eyes at the washi tape aisle. Just pretty tape, right? Then my sister gave me 5 rolls in January and I actually tried them. I started taping my weekly spreads so I stop rewriting the same boxes 7 times. Now I have 40 rolls and a whole shoebox for them. The cheap $1 ones from Daiso are honestly fine, the $8 ones are not 8x better. I was so wrong. Who else caved on washi after swearing it off?
Ha, I read a thread on Reddit where a bunch of people said the same thing, swore it off and then ended up with a drawer full. My take is the cheap rolls win because you actually use them instead of saving the fancy ones for some perfect page. Taping down boxes you'd rewrite anyway is the real win here, not the tape itself.
