Ran into my old history teacher at a coffee shop who spotted my bullet journal
I was at this little place off Main Street in Portland last Tuesday, just jotting down some weekly spreads, when Mrs. Hendricks from 10th grade walked over and asked what I was doing. She told me she's been using a BuJo for 5 years now to track her grad school reading lists and lesson plans, which totally blew my mind since I never saw her as the type. She even showed me this color-coded key she uses for different subjects, with little icons she draws herself for each one. Has anyone else had someone from way back unexpectedly get nerdy about bullet journaling with them?

That's really sweet, honestly. Love when teachers turn out to be secretly nerdy about stuff like that.

Huh, I see it a bit different honestly. I had a teacher in high school who was way too into Lord of the Rings and it was kinda annoying. She'd weave it into every lesson even when it didn't fit, like trying to compare the battle of Helm's Deep to the Civil War. It felt forced and took away from actual learning. I get that teachers have hobbies, but sometimes keeping it separate is better.
