Rant: My coworker was wrong about daily rapid logging
Everyone in this sub swears by daily rapid logging with short bullets, but my coworker Janet pushed me to do full paragraph journaling every night for a month. She said I'd remember more details and feel more connected to my entries. I tried it from January to February, and all I got were long walls of text I hated looking at. It took me twice as long each night and I started avoiding my journal entirely. Going back to rapid logging with simple bullet points and symbols saved my habit. Has anyone else had someone convince them to try a method that wrecked their flow for a while?

Honestly I used to roll my eyes at the whole paragraph journaling thing too. But then I tried it for a bit and yeah, I get what you're saying now. @david_rivera4 made a good point about why fix what wasn't broken, because that's exactly what happened to me. Tbh I thought writing full sentences would help me remember stuff better but it just made me dread opening the notebook. Now I'm back to my little bullet points and symbols and it feels like coming home. Ngl sometimes the simplest method is the one that actually works.

Why fix what wasn't broken in the first place?

Whoa wait, @david_rivera4 are you serious? I thought that thing was held together with duct tape and prayers for years now.
