Saw a guy at the coffee shop with a bullet journal that was just a blank notebook

He was using a simple Moleskine with no fancy spreads, just rapid logging. It made me realize I was spending more time drawing boxes than actually planning. Anyone else gone back to basics like that?

and honestly @hayden466 that's exactly what happened to me too lol. i bought all these fancy stencils and colored pens for my bullet journal and ended up with like 5 pages of pretty calendars and zero actual to-do lists. my friend calls it "productivity cosplay" where you look busy but get nothing done. the blank notebook guy sounds like he cracked the code way before the rest of us did.

Isn't that just how everything gets overcomplicated these days?

Tell me about it. Feels like we can't have simple things anymore.
