Tried to bullet journal my coffee habit and ended up with a stain disaster
I was in my local cafe in Portland last Tuesday, carefully tracking my morning brew in my new journal, when a barista tripped and dumped a whole latte right across my spread. Had to rip out three pages and start over. Has anyone else had a drink ruin their monthly log?

Is your journal now a "brew-tiful" mess or just a straight up tragedy? I swear those baristas have a sixth sense for when you're trying to be organized. I had a whole month of my sleep tracker turn into a cappuccino-themed abstraction once. Maybe we should all just start using waterproof pens and drink from sippy cups.

Oh, I felt that "stain disaster" line right in my bones. That's rough when you've got a nice spread going and then bam, coffee everywhere. I had a similar thing happen with a hot chocolate at my local diner last fall - the mug slipped right out of my hand and turned my whole weekly habit tracker into a brown puddle. Had to cut that page out with scissors because the paper was all wrinkly and sticky. It's funny how we put all this effort into tracking things and the universe just laughs and dumps a drink on it.

Gently correct grant.nina here - hot chocolate actually doesn't stain as bad as coffee because it doesn't have the same tannins that set into paper fibers. I learned that the hard way after spilling a flat white on my habit tracker last year and comparing it to a hot cocoa incident my friend had. Your hot chocolate probably left more of a milky smear while coffee really soaks in and turns everything brown. The wrinkly paper thing though, that I feel in my soul. Did the hot chocolate at least smell kind of nice while it was drying on your pages?
