Trip to that fountain pen store in Portland made me rethink my whole layout

I stopped by Oblation Papers in Portland last Tuesday just to grab some ink, but I ended up staring at their display counter for 20 minutes. They had a wall of test notebooks with different paper weights, and I realized my bullet journal falls apart by week 6 because I was using a cheap 70gsm brand. Their 120gsm sample held up to my heavy hand and even a spilled coffee, no bleed through. I bought one 90 page notebook for $18 and now I'm rebuilding my whole monthly spread around thicker paper. Anyone else switch paper after seeing a store demo and had to rework their setup? Or is that just me being extra about a hobby I already spend too much on?
