Went to a bullet journal meetup in Portland last weekend and saw someone using a weekly spread with no future log at all
I always thought you had to have the whole Ryder Carroll system dialed in but that guy’s simple layout just with dailies actually worked better for him so now I’m rethinking all my collections - has anyone else ditched the future log and found it freeing?

Oh wow you mean that book actually says optional? Wish I had known that before I spent three hours coloring in my future log tabs last January just to abandon them by February. Honestly my future log always ended up looking like a sad graveyard of forgotten appointments I never actually checked anyway. That guy with his bare bones dailies sounds like a genius who figured out what the rest of us are too scared to admit. Maybe we should all just embrace the chaos and throw our future logs in the recycling bin. Why do we keep pretending we're going to look ahead at July events when we can barely remember what we ate for breakfast?
