Appreciation post: The job coach who told me to stop overthinking everything

I spent 6 months jumping between temp jobs because I thought each one had to be my perfect career move. A job coach at the county office finally sat me down and asked if I'd ever just tried a job to see if I liked it without planning 5 years ahead. She was right I was freezing up over decisions that didn't matter yet. Took a warehouse gig last March just to test her advice and ended up liking it enough to get promoted. Has anyone else had a coach or mentor just cut through your nonsense and change your approach?

Amy says overthinking isn't that deep, but for some of us that paralysis is real and can cost us months of income. Sometimes overthinking is just your brain trying to protect you from a bad fit.
