Found out my coworker in IT makes 30% more than me for the same job title. I was stunned.

I was messing around on Glassdoor last night out of boredom and looked up our company. Turns out my exact role at our firm pays between 62k and 85k. I make 63k. Been here 2 years and thought I was doing okay. Now I gotta figure out how to bring this up without sounding greedy. Has anyone else asked for a raise based on this kind of stuff?

Drives home how much companies rely on people not comparing notes.

Test the waters before you make it a big deal.

Company probably expects nobody to actually check.
