Good move. A lot of people don't realize that salaried foreman spots often mean way more hours for less pay per hour. You keep your overtime and stay with the guys who actually do the work.

Smart move. I watched a buddy take a "promotion" like that and he basically lives at the yard now. They just keep piling on more work because you're not on the clock. Bet your crew was happy you stayed.
