My uncle told me to quit nursing school at Thanksgiving and I can't stop thinking about it

So my uncle pulled me aside after dinner at my parents' place in Ohio last month and asked how school was going. I said I was stressed about my pharmacology final, and he just goes "you know, you don't have to finish, plenty of people wash out and find something else." Nobody in my family has ever said that to me before, everyone just asks if I'm almost done. I've got 11 months left and a 3.4 GPA, so it's not like I'm failing, but now his words are stuck in my head every time a test gets hard. Did anyone else have a relative plant a doubt like that, and how did you deal with it?
