The day I bombed a job interview so bad I walked out 10 minutes early
Last month I had an interview for a project coordinator role at a construction firm downtown. I spent 3 days prepping, looked up the company history, practiced answers in the mirror. First question they hit me with was about a time I handled a difficult coworker. I froze up, started rambling about a guy who never wore deodorant, and the interviewer just stared at me with this blank face. Then I accidentally knocked over my water bottle all over their nice wooden desk. At that point I knew it was over, so I just said "I think I'm done here," stood up, and left. The receptionist gave me this weird look as I walked out the lobby. Has anyone else ever had an interview go so sideways you just gave up and left?

Realizing when to walk away is sometimes the smartest career move you can make.

Man, that's the truth right there... staying too long just digs a deeper hole.
