Customer asked me to fix a crooked door frame they painted over 3 times
Last Tuesday I showed up to a house in Austin where the homeowner had painted over an old door frame so many times the paint was built up like 1/4 inch thick in spots. They wanted me to just sand it down and call it good. Took me 6 hours to strip all that gunk off before I could even see the original wood. Who paints over a problem that many times instead of just calling someone first?

Man, I feel you on that. I had a similar thing once where someone had just layered paint over a warped door for years and it took forever just to get back to square one. @elizabethtaylor is right, that's just kicking the can down the road.
