Finally took the plunge on a track saw over a table saw for trim work

I kept going back and forth on whether to get a track saw or a cheap jobsite table saw for cutting baseboards and crown. Ended up grabbing a used Makita track saw off marketplace for $250 after watching a guy rip through sheet goods like butter. Set it up in my garage last Friday and cut 40 feet of base with zero tearout in under an hour. Anyone else switch to track saws and find yourself using your table saw way less?

Honestly, "ripped through sheet goods like butter" is exactly why I made the switch too. I got a Festool track saw a couple years back and my table saw collects dust for anything that isn't ripping small stuff. The lack of tearout on trim work is a game changer, especially with crown molding where you really see every little chip. Plus, being able to break down a full sheet of plywood by myself is way nicer than wrestling it onto a table saw. I still keep the table saw around but it's maybe one project out of ten now.

My neighbor tried cutting crown with a jigsaw once. I still give him crap about it.
