Hit 500 linear feet of baseboard trim in one job last month
Hit 500 linear feet of baseboard trim in one job last month and it kind of blew my mind. I do mostly trim work and cabinet installs, but last month I had a big custom house going in up in Flagstaff. The homeowner wanted the whole place trimmed out with this 7 inch colonial base that had a ton of returns and outside corners. I kept track on my tape measure and ended up at just over 500 feet when I laid the last piece in. That number surprised me because I usually max out around 300 on a normal house. The worst part was the miter station setup in the garage, had to adjust my saw three times because the angle was off on a few walls. Anybody else ever track footage on a big trim job and realize they went way past their usual limit?

Hell yeah, that's a monster trim job. I did a 400 foot run once in a rancher with 8 inch base and thought my miter saw was gonna walk off the job site by the end of it.

Run a fan on your miter saw station it keeps dust out of the motor and saves your bearings on those long cuts.
