I stopped using my table saw for dados, no regrets
After 12 years of running a stacked dado set, I switched to a router and straight edge for all my cabinet joinery. The dust collection is better and I can dial in the width without swapping shims, but has anyone else found the setup time worth it for small runs?

Twelve years with a stacked set and you just now switched? That's not a revolution, that's a midlife crisis for your shop. A router and straight edge is fine, but acting like dust collection is the deciding factor after over a decade of dados is pretty funny. You dial in width on the router table with test cuts and bit changes, which is not exactly less fiddly than swapping shims. For small runs, the setup time on either method is basically a wash, so the real question is why you bothered posting about it like you found a secret. Big deal, you changed tools. The cabinets still get built the same way.
