Put $800 into a Festool tracksaw setup and honestly not sure it was worth it

I do a lot of cabinet work and figured the plunge cut precision would save me time, but I'm still reaching for my old circular saw and straightedge on most jobs. The dust collection is great, but for $800 I expected it to feel more like a game changer. Anyone else drop serious cash on a tool and end up kind of meh about it?

Are you getting the most out of the plunge angle and the splinter guard, though? Ive had a Festool track for a few years now and it really shines on sheet goods where you need dead straight cuts without any chipping. Once you get the rail connected right and the saw dialed in, it totally beats a circular saw for accuracy on big cabinets.

I've been there too, spent a whole Saturday fighting with a track that just wouldn't sit flush, and it drove me crazy. But once you get it, it's like magic for sheet goods, no more tearout or wandering cuts. It's a pain to learn, but totally worth it when you're building cabinets or anything where straight matters.
