The day I hit 500 perfect miters in a row and nobody cared
So I was doing crown molding for a big house out in Oakwood last month, and I realized I nailed 500 miters without a single gap. On one hand I felt like a king on the job site, but on the other hand my foreman just shrugged and said 'that's what we pay you for.' Has anyone else hit a weird milestone that felt huge to you but nobody else got excited about?

Ngl that's the kind of thing where only another carpenter would really get it. I read somewhere that most guys can't even get 50 perfect ones in a row, so 500 is insane.

The part nobody mentions is how much it messes with your social life. My girlfriend got so annoyed with me practicing in the living room every night she banned it to the garage. But honestly, having that quiet space where no one could interrupt me is probably what got me past the 300 mark. There's something about drilling in total silence with bad lighting that just forces you to lock in.

Yeah the "most guys can't get 50" thing hit me hard when I first saw it, @sammoore. What finally clicked for me was slowing way down and focusing on my hand position, not speed, because rushing just made me mess up more and more. Took me months but once I got past 100 it started feeling like muscle memory and the rest just followed.
