Warning: I was cutting all my plywood sheets wrong for years

I was always making my crosscuts first to break down a 4x8 sheet, thinking it was easier to handle. A guy on a framing crew in Tacoma last week saw me and just said 'you're fighting the saw, man, rip it first.' Tried it on a cabinet job yesterday and the cuts were way cleaner with less binding. Anyone else have a basic process they had to unlearn?

Ever try to cut curves with a jigsaw going full speed? I used to do that and it would always chatter and jump. Slowing the damn thing down made a world of difference.

Yeah, that chatter happens with dull blades too... fresh ones just glide through curves even at higher speeds sometimes.
