Watched a guy at a job site in Sioux Falls try to straighten a 2x4 with just clamps and a prayer

He spent 45 minutes fighting that twisted board before I offered him my jointer plane, and now I keep it in my truck for every crew I meet; has anyone else found a tool that saves a whole team's time like that?

With just clamps and a prayer" yeah that's basically how I started framing houses. Honestly a good speed square in my back pocket saves more time than anything. I've seen guys waste ten minutes measuring twice when a speed square tells you the angle in two seconds.
