Chose a 40 seat private dinner over the food truck gig at the Raleigh night market, and I'm glad I did
Both paid about the same up front, but the private dinner let me plate everything myself and nobody rushed me. Got the highest tip of my year, $600, from a table of 8 last Saturday. Any of you pick the smaller job over the busy one and have it pay off like that?

Must be nice to make bank while the rest of us are out there sweating through our aprons for tips that barely cover gas. A $600 tip on a table of 8? I'd be framing that receipt, honestly.
