Changed my mind about letting customers walk all over me after a shift at Dillard's last Saturday
I used to think keeping the peace was worth refunding anything, but a lady tried to return a blouse she'd clearly worn to a wedding with the pit stains to prove it. My manager backed me up for once and said no, and idk, it felt good to have a backbone. Has anyone else had a manager surprise you by actually sticking to policy?

Laughed out loud at "pit stains to prove it" because some people really think customer service means accepting biohazards as returns. Glad your manager finally grew a spine too, must've felt like seeing a unicorn in the wild. Now if only corporate could clone that manager for every store in existence.

Two stores in my town got that unicorn and returns dropped by half.
