Debate: Did the $200 'premium' customer support package save me or just burn my wallet?

I got upsold on a $200 priority support plan for my home internet and the first tech fixed my issue in 20 minutes, but next month a different rep ignored my call for 2 days. Is paying extra for customer service ever really worth it or just a gamble on who you get?

That first tech set your bar way too high honestly. The whole point of those plans is they put you in a smaller pool but you still get whatever random tech is on shift, so it's really just a $200 gamble on the day you call.

Ended up just asking around local groups for a reliable tech instead of rolling the dice with those plans. Found a guy who works independently and charges way less than any company plan, plus he actually answers his phone when something goes wrong. Never looked back after that.
