Gardening on the side, and a customer tried to haggle over my tomato prices

I sell extra veggies from my home garden and had a lady argue my heirloom tomatoes were too expensive. On one hand, I want to stand firm on my prices because they reflect my time and care. On the other hand, part of me thinks a small discount to make a difficult person go away is sometimes worth the peace. Where do you all draw the line with pricing for picky customers?

Oh man, I totally get where you're coming from! I had a guy argue over my herb prices once and it's just not worth the stress sometimes.

Walking away sounds great until you realize you're just pacing in circles. I've seen people make such a big deal out of nothing it's honestly a waste of energy. Some folks just love the drama, I guess.
