Guy at the hardware store tried to return half a bag of fertilizer from last April

Last Tuesday this older gentleman walks into the garden center where I work with a torn open bag of Scott's Turf Builder that's maybe 60% empty. He told me straight faced that his lawn 'just didn't green up enough' and wanted a full refund. I had to explain the return policy to him three times while he kept waving the receipt from seven months ago.

Just didn't green up enough" after seven months? That's wild man. @paul346 asking if it was still alive made me laugh, because honestly half that bag was probably already spread on his lawn last spring. Imagine buying a pizza, eating 60% of it, then trying to return it because you weren't full enough.

Yeah but what if it was still technically alive just dormant? You cant just assume it was dead seven months later if it had any green at all, thats like returning a half-dead plant you gave up on.
