Had a customer in Dallas claim we never delivered a $500 order when the tracking showed it signed for at their office

They demanded a full refund and a new shipment, and it took me three hours on the phone with them and the carrier to sort it out. Turns out their receptionist signed for it and put it in a supply closet without telling anyone. What's the weirdest place a missing package has turned up for you guys?

My own garage is the Bermuda Triangle for packages. I've found them behind the trash cans weeks later.

Honestly, that's on the carrier for not getting a proper signature from the actual recipient.

Actually, the carrier rules changed a few years back. For a lot of regular deliveries, they can just leave it at the door now without any signature at all. It's called "carrier release" and it's basically the default for most online orders unless you specifically pay for a signature service.
