I don't think the customer is always right about their own product
Worked at a hardware store in Tacoma where a guy insisted his new drill was defective because it wouldn't turn on. He'd removed the battery safety tab and thrown it away before even trying the tool. Anyone else get blamed for a problem the customer literally created?

I used to think customers knew their stuff, but seeing people return tools they broke themselves changed my mind. How do you even handle that without laughing?

Honestly it's kind of impressive how creative some people get breaking stuff.

Oh man that battery tab thing happens all the time. People get so excited with a new tool they just rip everything out. Then they bring it back and get mad when you show them the manual picture of the little plastic piece they tossed.
