Spent $60 on a 'premium' phone case that did nothing when I dropped it

Ngl, I thought spending extra would save my screen but nope, cracked on the first drop from pocket height. Going back to my old $15 Amazon case, that thing survived three years of abuse.

Bought my buddy one of those OtterBox clones for his birthday. Thing was thick as a brick. Dropped it off his tailgate and the screen still spiderwebbed.

UGH, that's the WORST. @drew965 totally called it with the clone thing. Those knockoffs always skip the important part where they actually absorb impact, they're just a hard plastic shell. The real OtterBox might be ugly and bulky but at least the rubber layers give you some actual shock absorption.
