The client who complained about my music choice actually fixed my entire workout flow
I had this client, Mark, last month at the gym who kept stopping mid set and saying my playlist was throwing off his rhythm. I was annoyed at first, but then I realized every time a fast song came on, he'd rush his reps. After 3 sessions of this, I swapped to a steady 120bpm playlist and his form improved instantly. Has anyone else had a customer situation where their nitpick actually made you better at your job?

Wow, I honestly used to get defensive when clients criticized my playlists but this totally changed my mind.

Did you catch that podcast episode where a music therapist broke down why people get so attached to their playlists? I listened to it last week and everything clicked for me. @johnson.jesse I think it's super smart that you were able to step back and see their feedback as helpful instead of personal, that takes a lot of self awareness. It makes me wonder what the first playlist critique was that got you to change your mind on this?
