The hotel front desk went from calling me by name to pretending I didn't exist after one review
I left a 3 star review for a hotel in Boise last spring because the room smelled like bleach and the AC rattled all night. For two stays after that, the same front desk woman greeted me with a smile and a free upgrade. Then on my third trip in October, she stared right through me, handed me a key card without a word, and put me next to the ice machine. I finally asked a different clerk what changed, and he said my review cost the manager his quarterly bonus so now my name is flagged in their system. Has anyone else been quietly blacklisted by a place after leaving honest feedback, and did you just stop going or keep booking anyway?
