The week I quit a customer over a $2 late fee, then begged them back
I worked at a call center in Dayton for a billing company, and one guy lost it over a $2 late fee. I told him to take his business elsewhere, but my supervisor made me call him back and apologize with a waiver. Has anyone else snapped at a customer and then had to eat crow? Which side do you land on, backing your staff or keeping the account?
Wait, how is the company the bad guy for wanting to keep a paying customer over a lousy two bucks? If some rep told me to take my business elsewhere I'd be pretty happy they called back to fix it.
