The woman who screamed at me for 15 minutes over a 50 cent coupon Tuesday

She wouldn't let me scan her expired coupon and then called my manager to complain I was ruining her budget, has anyone else had customers blow up over less than a dollar?

Did the customer at least offer to pay the 50 cents with a dramatic monologue or was that extra? I once had a lady throw a full tantrum because I wouldn't let her use a coupon for a different store, and she swore she was calling the news on me. Guess inflation really hits different when it costs you a whole half a buck.

Oh man, @hayes.jake you hit the nail on the head, I half expected her to break into a soap opera speech about the tragedy of losing half a dollar. She literally told my manager that my refusal was "financially devastating her entire week" and then pulled out a crumpled 5 dollar bill to pay. Guess inflation really does hit different when you're 50 cents short and have a dramatic monologue to back it up.
