Warning: That $80 'waterproof' jacket I bought for camping was a total scam

I dropped $80 on a jacket from a random outdoor brand online and it soaked through after 20 minutes in a light rain last weekend. The listing said 'fully waterproof' but it's basically a plastic bag with zippers. Has anyone else gotten burned by those cheap gear sites?

@logan705 yeah I read some blog that tested budget jackets and most failed under 10 minutes of rain.
