Called BS on the ultrasonic cleaner hype for injectors
Kept seeing guys on here swear by ultrasonic cleaning for injectors but figured it was just another way to waste money. Finally tried it on a set of 6 injectors from an old Cummins 5.9 after I soaked em in cleaner twice and still had a rough idle. Threw em in a $200 Amazon unit with the right solution for 45 minutes and the difference was night and day. Truck smoothed right out after install. Anybody else get humbled by a tool they thought was overrated?

OH man I had the EXACT same experience with a set of Bosch injectors on my old 7.3 Powerstroke. I was convinced it was snake oil but after fighting a cold start stumble for weeks I finally caved and got a little Harbor Freight unit. Used a mix of water and simple green at 130 degrees for 30 minutes and the crap that came out of those injectors was honestly disgusting. Idle smoothed right out and it started like a dream the next morning. Definitely made me eat my words.

You used Simple Green in your injectors? Did not think that stuff was safe for diesel parts. Guess I owe Simple Green an apology for all the dirty looks I gave it in the garage.
